About Wenmiao (Confucius Temple)

Suzhou Confucius Temple, founded in 1035, was the highest educational institution of the region. Its surviving Hall of Great Achievements houses 4 Ming-era stone tablets of Confucian classics, and the temple hosts a famous Sunday book and antique market.
