About Lotus Island (Lianhua Dao)

Lotus Island, also known as Lianhua Dao, is a waterside village area by Yangcheng Lake, best known for its seasonal food culture, lake scenery and slower rural atmosphere. The visit is most enjoyable when you allow time for local dining, walking and views across the water rather than treating it as a quick photo stop. Autumn is especially popular, but the island also offers a useful contrast to central Suzhou's gardens and urban streets in other seasons.
