Jinshan Scenic Area
A 41.6-hectare scenic area centered on Jinshan Temple, built into the mountain since the Eastern Jin dynasty. The legend of the White Snake flooding Jinshan Temple is set here. Features the 8-story Cishou Pagoda, Zhongling Spring (best spring under heaven), Fahai Cave, and Furong Tower. One of Zhenjiang's "Three Mountains."

Xijin Ferry Old Street
A 1,000-meter ancient street preserving the Tang-era ferry dock, Song-era stone road, and Ming-Qing architecture. The most complete ancient ferry complex in China. Features the Zhaoguan Stone Pagoda (Yuan dynasty), British Consulate, and the Life Saving Society museum.

Jiaoshan Scenic Area
A 70-hectare island in the Yangtze River, the only "floating mountain" in the river. Features Dinghui Temple (founded 168 AD), Jiaoshan Stele Forest (over 400 ancient stone tablets), the Qing-era cannon battery, and the Guanlan Pavilion. Known for its calligraphy collection.

Nanshan Scenic Area
An 18-square-km national forest park south of the city. Features Zhaoyin Temple (founded 4th century), the Crown Prince Zhaoming's Reading Terrace, the Bamboo Forest Temple, and Mi Fu's tomb. Known as the "lungs of Zhenjiang."

Maoshan Scenic Area
A 37km² Taoist sacred mountain, the 8th of China's Ten Great Taoist Caves. Features Jiuxiao Wanfu Palace, Yuanfu Wanning Palace, and natural salt caves. The "First Blessing Land, Eighth Heaven." A top Taoist pilgrimage site.

Beigu Mountain Scenic Area
A 55m mountain overlooking the Yangtze River, famed for the Three Kingdoms legend of Liu Bei's marriage at Ganlu Temple. Features Beigu Tower, Duojing Tower, the Sword Testing Stone, and the iron pagoda. The setting for "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" chapters.

Pearl S. Buck Residence
The former residence of Nobel Prize-winning author Pearl S. Buck (1892-1973), who lived here from age 3 months to 18. Features her childhood bedroom, the family's missionary work exhibits, and the Pearl S. Buck Memorial Hall with first editions.

Mengxi Garden
The former residence of Shen Kuo (1031-1095), the polymath author of "Dream Pool Essays"—a landmark in Chinese science. Features his study, astronomical instruments, and exhibits on his contributions to geology, astronomy, and medicine.
